At Blackroom, we always seek to have the best human talent. This time, we are looking for a Host/Receptionist to work in the Laureles and/or Poblado areas of Medellín, helping us to provide the best experience for our domestic and international guests.

JOB OBJECTIVE

In this position, you will be responsible for welcoming hotel guests and visitors with a positive attitude and willingness to serve, providing specific information and prompt, timely assistance. We will teach you all the procedures and standards established for the position so that you can easily follow all of the hotel's service standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service:

  • Receive and attend to guests with an excellent service attitude
  • Manage check-in and check-out efficiently
  • Provide information about hotel services and resolve various guest concerns.

Hotel Operations:

  • Manage reservations and assign rooms according to standards
  • Coordinate additional services with other areas of the hotel
  • Process billing (using an easy-to-use system) and manage petty cash.

Administrative Management:

  • Maintain communication between shifts using our logbook
  • Process documents for domestic and international guests
  • Comply with hotel security protocols and policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of customer service
  • Computer skills (intermediate level is sufficient)
  • Management of hotel PMS systems (ideal)
  • Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Life skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Service orientation and problem solving
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Proactivity and attention to detail
  • Being a person with good values

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Languages: Intermediate-advanced English (ideal). Other languages will be viewed favorably.

Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months of certified experience in customer service roles, preferably in the hotel or restaurant sector.
